Connect academic community to various societies to:

Bridge the gap between Christian academia and communities.

The Institute for the Study of African Realities (ISAR) is a constituent school of Africa International University (AIU) that focuses on evidence-based solutions for African realities. As a research institute, ISAR offers consultative services to organizations interested in understanding their formative or summative Program impact and effectiveness or those that need data to make decisions on Program needs and implementation. Through its centers, the institute addresses issues around church and society’s wellness, including evangelism, discipleship, missions, peace, social justice, reconciliation, interfaith harmony, ethics, governance, and leadership development, among others. ISAR seeks to bridge the existing gap between Christian academia and communities in Africa by synthesizing “real-world” solutions that promote the welfare of the church and community. In this regard, ISAR’s Programs are designed to transform individuals, communities, and systems throughout Africa. This is done in pursuit of Christian values for evangelical scholarship, interdisciplinary studies, and academic research and writing. Further, ISAR makes efforts to increase knowledge, provide relevant data, and use innovative learning resources and technology to facilitate spiritual formation, peace, and development through the church as the primary agency appointed by God.
